Federal Employee’s Damages Increased By EEOC. Complainant filed an EEO related to his termination during a probationary period. Complainant asserted claims for race, color and parental status discrimination as well as reprisal (retaliation).The Agency issued a Final Agency Decision awarding Complainant $15,000 in compensatory damages and $6,379.35 in attorney’s fees. Complainant appealed to the EEOC’s Office of Federal Operations. The OFO increased the damages award to $25,000 and the attorney’s fee award to $25,517.39. It also ordered the Agency to reinstate Complainant.
