Federal employee wins damages appeal; EEOC’s OFO. Complainant, an employee of the VA, filed an appeal with EEOC’s Office of Federal Operations (OFO) from the Agency’s final order concerning her Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) complaint alleging discrimination in violation of the Civil Rights Act. Complainant alleged that she was due damages from the entire time she was subject to sexual harassment, not just from the time management became aware and failed to take remedial action. The OFO agreed and awarded Complainant $51,480.50 for nonpecuniary and past pecuniary damages and ordered the Agency to restore in full all amounts of leave that were used because of discrimination.
